Amid a summer of constant headlines in Washington, the administration continues to move forward on immigration policies affecting fashion and tech. In a recent opinion piece in WWD, Fashion Innovation Alliance founder Kenya Wiley discusses the consequences of restricting immigration—particularly for fashion brands, tech companies, and startups focused on fashion tech.

“American creativity will suffer,” said Kenya Wiley. “Innovators will leave the United States. And women entrepreneurs will miss out on meaningful business opportunities.”

The Fashion Innovation Alliance also submitted comments to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) earlier this month, urging DHS to keep the International Entrepreneur Rule in place for startup founders.
